| grabbing the next gear (or two) lower. If you're an accomplished driver, it's second nature and you're likely to match the time it takes an auto to kick down if not beat it. As for stop and go traffic, that's a different issue but I've yet to find myself wanting to do a manual to auto swap. I've driven a car with a line controller and from *my* experience, I didn't see anything that special about it to warrant wanting an auto over a manual. That's my $0.02. Dave
